R.I.P. DJ AM

It's always a sad day when someone dies, but especially so when someone who had such a great impact on DJ'ing as Adam Goldstein, aka Dj Am, passes. It's poeple like him who make me want to get into music so bad. In rememberance of his time here I found some video of a set he did earlier this year back in March. So just sit back and enjoy what the man accomplished, mixing Queen to MSTRKRFT to Biggie.

For more on DJ AM and his untimely passing, read ?uestlove's tribute to the late legend.
I highly recommend it.

Danyl Johnson: The Next Great Performer of Our Generation?

If there is one thing you do today, make sure that it is to watch the video above. This video came from the UK's equivalent to American Idol, called X Factor, where Simon Cowell is one of the judges. Not only did Simon give a nod of approval or a smile, he gave the man A STANDING OVATION. And it was well deserved. This man can sing his heart out. If anyone has ever had bigger expectations coming from the first audition onto one of these types of shows, well, you'll have to show them to me. As of right now Danyl Johnson deserves all of the recognition for less than 4 minutes of singing.

Damn, These Guys are Good

First off, the athlete formerly known as Chad Johnson kicks a PAT and a kickoff for the Bengals above, also stating that he might in fact change his name again to Esteban Ochocinco and that Ronaldino would be proud of his kicking skills. By the way, Ochocinco has been a soccer fan for some time now, as reported in this ESPN.com interview in 2007.

Below we have Jameer Nelson, the starting point guard for the Eastern Conference winning Orlando Magic squad, taking batting practice with his homwtown Philadelphia Phillies. Now he did not simply manage to barely lay down some ground balls, but was able to actually smack a home run out of the ball park.

Now that's some multi-talented athletes. Makes you wonder if a Bo Jackson/Deion Sanders two-sport athlete can ever return in American proffessional sports.
